Sense of Place - Story Ideas
Lake Lanier
This lake has hosted our family myriad times. Regardless of the myths and horrific history of the lake’s formation, a hammock on the edge of the lake still relaxes me.
Canton Street
This place lights up at night and especially on weekends. Although Roswell downtown is relatively small, this welcoming place is filled with antique stores, food, booze and a whole bunch of characters
Big Creek Trails
These walking and biking trails are right off the busiest road in the suburbs of Atlanta. Within seconds of starting on the path, the buzzing of the city somehow quiet’s down and is replaced by the chirps of insects.
Island Ford
A hidden national recreation area on the bed of the Chattahoochee river, this place can be morphed into a dog park for friendly pets and pet owners. Ideally, choose times when you won’t be chastised by the rangers who manage the area. This place is also home to one of the early hominin shelters nestled in the rocks.
East Roswell Park
One park for everyone with all kinds of tastes and all kinds of activities. From disc golf to night prowling coyotes, a community park that preserves nature and allows human exploration at the same time.
